Hyderabad: 30 young doctors prosper in life sciences research in CCMB’s Med SRT program
Hyderabad: A total of 30 young doctors from across the country are participating in the two-week long Program of Training in Research for Medical Students (MedSRT), which aims to expose doctors to cutting-edge research in biological sciences. , It leads the Center for Cellular Technology and Molecular Biology (CCMB). The program is specifically designed for medical students, providing them with training on research methods through a series of conferences and practical experiments. During the training programme, the young doctors also got to know about concepts like scientific ethics, good laboratory practices, biosafety and hands-on experience of working in various research facilities of CCMB and its contractors. Medical participants also received CCMB certifications after successfully completing the training. According to CCMB, knowledge of various equipment related to life sciences is very important for doctors, as they become more and more attuned to medicine. The selection process of CCMB’s MedSRT initiative was provided free of charge to young doctors.
