Hyderabad: 233 bottles of liquor seized, two arrested

Hyderabad: The enforcement team of the Excise and Prohibition Department on Friday caught two persons allegedly smuggling duty-free liquor in Basheerbagh and seized 233 bottles from them. Acting on a tip-off, the team kept a watch on Basheerbagh Road and noticed a car moving suspiciously, which was stopped and checked. The officials found that it contained 233 bottles of duty-free liquor smuggled into the city from Delhi and Haryana. Two persons, Harish Kumar and Williams Joseph, were detained while their four accomplices involved in the racket are absconding. A case has been registered.
