Hyderabad: 12 women involved in prostitution arrested

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) conducted raids at various places including Bhagyanagar bus stop, KPHB metro station, Kukatpally and Madhapur areas and apprehended 12 women allegedly involved in prostitution on Friday night. As a result of the inspection, cases were registered at Kukatpally, KPHB and Gachibowli police stations under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Besides, the women were bound by the Cyberabad police to ensure good behaviour. The Cyberabad police said it is strictly enforcing the laws against prostitution and related activities. No form of prostitution is encouraged or tolerated in the jurisdiction. Regular drives are conducted to prevent and eliminate such illegal activities to ensure the safety of all citizens, they said.
