Husband shot dead lecturer wife

Jind: Kusum Lata, a woman working as a junior lecturer in a Government Senior Secondary School in a village of the district, was shot by her husband after taking her in the car on the pretext of dropping her to school. When the pistol fell during the scuffle, the accused fatally attacked the wife with an ice-breaker and on seeing people coming, he fled with the car.
Passers-by admitted the injured woman to Jind Civil Hospital for treatment.
