Husband along with nephew killed wife suspecting illicit relationship, both arrested

Noida: Noida Police has arrested uncle and nephew in the case of murder of a woman. Husband along with nephew killed his wife. Neighbors informed the police after foul smell started coming from the dead body lying in the room. Police reached the spot and took the dead body in custody and sent it for postmortem.

This case is of Gadhi Chaukhandi village of Thana Phase 3 area of ​​Noida. Police has told that Thana Phase 3 Police had called the accused murderers Sarvesh Gupta and his nephew Pawan Gupta to the police station for interrogation, where they confessed to the murder. In police interrogation, Sarvesh Gupta has told that he got married in 2011.

For the last one year, both were living on rent in village Gadhi Chaukhandi. Husband Sarvesh used to work as a tailor in a company in Sector-67, his wife also used to work as a thread cutter in another company. Sarvesh suspected his wife because she worked separately and used mobile phone most of the time. Due to this suspicion, he used to beat her and threatened to kill her.
Angered with his wife, Sarvesh called his nephew Pawan Gupta from the village to kill her. Police said that on the night of 23 July, when Sarvesh’s wife was using mobile phone, the accused asked for it from his wife, over which the two quarreled. After the quarrel, Sarvesh, along with his nephew, strangled his wife to death and hid the body in a room after wrapping it in a cloth and locked it.
