It seems that Honda will be introducing a bunch of new motorcycles (via BigWing dealership) in India next year and it will include Honda Rebel 300. According to the latest report by Autocar India, Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda will be launching rebel 300 along with new 500cc motorcycles in India next year.
For those who are unknown, the Honda Rebel 300 is already available in overseas and it offers a 286cc liquid-cooled engine that is also present in the CB300R. However, the Rebel 300 will be offered with a bobber-style cruiser motorcycle with a different chassis and will offer a seat height of 690mm. However, the weight of the motorcycle will be 170kgs.
Speaking of the pricing, the Rebel 300 is expected to be priced below Rs 2.40 lakh due to some amount of localisation. Honda has already put a price tag of Rs 2.40 lakh on the CB300R due to localisation. If the pricing of the Rebel 300 is kept affordable, it might be a good alternative to the Royal Enfield 350s.
According to sources close to Autocar India, Honda is on a new India-specific 500cc project that will offer two different motorcycles. The motorcycles are codenamed MLHJ and MLWA. No further information about the 500cc models are known yet. It is quite possible that Honda will be offering an entirely new engine. The Honda NX500, which is sold in India, gets a 471cc parallel-twin engine that is also offered in multiple 500cc models.
According to reports, Honda has registered the GB500S name overseas and this suggests that the new 500 is likely to be based on the Honda CB350 H’ness platform. The launch of the Honda Rebel 300 and other 500cc motorcycle are expected to take place in 2026-2027.
