History sheeter arrested in Kalibari, caught selling intoxicating tablets

Raipur. History-sheeter Jiyaul alias Jaul has been arrested with banned drug tablets. Police received information that a person has kept banned intoxicating tablets in his house in Gandhi Nagar located in Kalibari under Kotwali police station area and is planning to sell them. During the raid, a person was found present in the house. During interrogation, the person revealed his name as Jiyaul alias Jaul, resident of Kotwali Raipur. When the team members searched the house, it was found that a banned drug tablet named Nitrazepam Nitrosan was kept in the house. When he was asked to produce valid documents or other documents in connection with the possession of the said banned narcotic tablet, he was continuously trying to mislead the team by not presenting any valid document or papers of any kind.

On which the accused Jiyaul alias Jaul was arrested and a total of 1510 pieces of banned drug tablets Nitrazepam Nitrosan Jumla worth about Rs 16,000/- were seized from his possession and crime number 09/2024 under Section 22 (C) Narcotic Act was registered against the accused in the police station. Tax action was taken. The accused Jiyaul alias Jaul is a history-sheeter of police station Kotwali, against whom about one and a half dozen crimes under restrictive sections including assault, attempt to murder, Excise Act, Narcotics Act and rioting are registered in the police station, in which the accused has been detained in jail.
