Himachal: to host Winter Carnival with new attraction
Himachal Pradesh: Manali MLA Bhubaneswar Gaur Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur announced that the 13th national level winter carnival 2025 will be held with a new approach. Presiding over a meeting about the event, he said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the five -day carnival on January 2. In the bid to promote income, the Tambola game will begin in December, and additional plots will be allocated in the bus stand and Nehru Park areas. The iconic mall road will be decorated with colored lights, and a platform for cultural performance to show the rich heritage of Kullu and Himachal Pradesh. If there is snowfall during this period, winter sports competitions will be organized to increase the experience. Major attractions include Winter Queen Pagent, Voice of Carnival, Traditional Maha Nati, and a fashion shows, exposing Himachali costumes by Mahila Mandals.
North Zone Cultural Center will perform at Patiala and cultural circles from various districts, Manu Rangshala, as well as programs of colorful pimples and local Mahila Mandals. Sports like volleyball, basketball and tug-off-war will be added to enthusiasm. MLA Gaur, promoting more participation from villagers, emphasized the target of carnival to promote tourism in Manali and Kullu. He indicated possible changes in the time of the incident based on local demand. Auditions for the sound of winter queen pageant and carnival will be held in Himachal Pradesh and other states. To ensure the success of the event, various committees have been formed, and members have been instructed to complete the preparations on time. Around Rs 1.2 crore was spent on last year’s carnival, underlining the scale of the incident. Manali SDM Raman Kumar Sharma and officials of various departments attended the plan meeting promising support for smooth execution of the carnival.
