Himachal Pradesh: Athletes from the state university won two silver medals at the Khelo India University Games.

Himachal Pradesh: Two athletes from Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) have won silver medals at the Khelo India University Games 2025, which concluded in Rajasthan on December 5th. This achievement has brought laurels to both the university and the state. Nancy Thakur won a silver medal in the 76 kg wrestling category, while Vanshika Goswami secured a silver medal in the heavyweight boxing competition.
Congratulating the students, HPU Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahavir Singh said, “The girls have proved through their outstanding performance at the national level that HPU is a hub of talent, discipline, and excellent training. Their achievement has brought immense pride and joy to the entire university.” The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated their families, coaches, and the university’s Sports Directorate for these remarkable achievements. He further added that the university administration will continue its efforts to strengthen sports facilities and ensure the all-round development of its athletes in the future.
