Himachal: Patients are not getting the benefits of Ayushman and Himcare

Himachal Pradesh: Treatment is not being provided under Ayushman and Himcare scheme in Ayush hospitals of Kullu and Katrai, because there are no data entry operators in both the hospitals. It has been more than six years since both the schemes were started, but the patients have not yet been able to get its benefits. In 2021, the then Deputy Commissioner had directed the AYUSH department to appoint data entry operators on outsource basis under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti. Despite this, the department has not been able to work towards providing facilities to the patients and the patients have to bear the brunt of departmental delay.
Kullu Mahotsav should not be on the road
The Kullu Mahotsav going on since December 25 on Mall Road in Dhalpur has become a cause of trouble for the travelers. This event was to be held till December 31, but cultural programs were stopped due to national mourning. Now the Kullu Municipal Council has decided to continue the event till January 6 and the roadside stalls will open till January 10. Due to the closure of the main road and diversion of traffic from Hospital Road, there is no parking facility for those going to the court, secretariat and other offices. Patients admitted in the nearby hospital also face inconvenience due to the loudspeakers. Local traders are also upset because such events affect sales. Such events should be held in the vacant grounds in Dhalpur.
