Himachal: Mock tests in schools to improve ranking

Himachal Pradesh: The Education Department is making every effort to improve the ranking of Himachal in the National Achievement Survey (NAS) to be held in December. Mock tests were organized in about 15 thousand schools of the state today to prepare school children for NAS. The state was ranked 21st in the country in NAS 2021. Education Minister Rohit Thakur conducted a surprise inspection of a government school in Shimla (rural) assembly constituency, where the mock test was being conducted. He said that the state government is serious about improving the performance of Himachal in the Parakh survey. Our performance was not good in 2021. This time school children are being given continuous practice for better performance. The minister asked the teachers to work in mission mode for the survey. He said that the responsibility of preparing for the Parakh survey should not be only of primary level teachers, but school lecturers should also contribute to it.
