Himachal: Livestock farmers were taught the lesson of clean milk production

Himachal Pradesh: The Animal Husbandry Department organized a day-long awareness camp at the Veterinary Hospital in Mashobra, Shimla district, to mark National Milk Day. Nearly 40 dairy farmers from the Mashobra block participated in the program. Dr. Heena Bahl and Dr. Rajendra Rajta briefed participants on the importance and nutritional value of milk, as well as methods for clean milk production and better dairy management. Experts emphasized the importance of cowshed hygiene management, animal hygiene management, and the cleanliness of milk containers. Farmers were also made aware of the government’s emphasis on forming milk cooperative societies at the Panchayat level.
