Himachal: Dearness relief continues for pensioners

Himachal Pradesh: The Himachal government today provided 4 per cent dearness relief to all government pensioners from October 1, 2024. With this, the dearness allowance of pensioners will increase from the existing 38 per cent to 42 per cent. The additional dearness relief will be paid along with the pension or family pension for the month of October, while the decision on payment of dearness relief for the period from January 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024 will be taken separately in time. According to the order issued by the Finance Department, dearness relief in fractions of a rupee will be rounded off. Other provisions providing dearness relief to pensioners such as regulation of dearness relief during employment/re-employment, regulation of dearness relief in case of receiving more than one pension, will remain unchanged.
