Himachal: Congress chief asks party workers to fight to save the Constitution

Himachal Pradesh: State Congress President Pratibha Singh today called upon party workers to come forward to protect the Constitution of the country. She alleged that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre is trying to weaken the Constitution. While presiding over the programme organised on the occasion of Constitution Day, Pratibha administered the oath to party workers and Sevadal office bearers to protect the Constitution. She said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has protected human rights in the Constitution, but the NDA government is violating those rights.

She said that under a well-planned strategy, efforts are being made to weaken the Constitution. Now the time has come to make the people of the country aware of their rights. She called upon all Congressmen to unite and save the Constitution. All India Congress Sevadal Treasurer and State Sevadal In-charge Narendra Batish in his address said that Congress workers will have to unite and fight against the divisive forces in the country. He said, “Sevadal had played a big responsibility at the time of independence and now they have a big responsibility to save the Constitution, which they will fulfill with full honesty.” State Women Congress President Zainab Chandel also expressed her views on the Preamble of the Constitution and strongly criticized the disruptive forces.
