Himachal: Chief Minister offered prayers at Deotsidh temple

Himachal Pradesh: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today visited Baba Balak Nath Temple at Deotsidh in Barsar Assembly Constituency. He offered prayers at the temple and also reviewed various development activities going on in the temple premises. The temple is run by the Temple Trust, whose Commissioner is the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman is SDM Barsar. Apart from this, the annual income of the temple ranges from Rs 25 to 30 crore, which depends on the influx of tourists and devotees. The revenue collected by the trust is spent on various development works done to provide facilities to the people visiting the temple. The Chief Minister said that the state government will provide all possible assistance to the temple trust and provide state-of-the-art facilities to the devotees. He said that a project to establish a ropeway between Shahtalai and Deotsidh temple is being considered, which will be completed soon. The Chief Minister was accompanied by local Congress leaders and district administration officials.
