Himachal: Agro Industries Corporation recorded sales of Rs 94 crore

Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh Agro Industries Corporation Limited (HPAIC) The corporation has recorded a sales turnover of Rs 94.44 crore, gross profit of Rs 4.90 crore (before audit) and net profit of Rs 1.64 crore (before audit) during the financial year 2024-25. This was revealed in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the corporation here today. The meeting was chaired by Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi. The minister appreciated the efforts of the employees of the corporation for this achievement. He stressed the need to strengthen all the operational activities of the corporation in the interest of farmers across the state.

Besides this, the corporation should take proactive steps to improve its functioning. He said that the board has approved the use of 45.65 kanal vacant land at Kandrodi in Kangra district for production and manufacturing of sugarcane and orange based products, which will greatly benefit the farmers. He directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive proposal in this regard as soon as possible. Negi also stressed the need to expedite the process of merging HP Agro Industries Corporation Limited with HPMC and directed to vigorously pursue the matter with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Secretary, Horticulture C Paulrasu, Director, Agriculture Kumud Singh, Managing Director, HPAIC Reema Kashyap, other board members and senior officials were present in the meeting.
