High-level meeting held regarding construction of two railway over bridges in Yeola taluka

Maharashtra: A high-level review meeting was held regarding the construction of proposed railway overbridges (ROBs) at two important railway crossings in Yeola taluka, Maharashtra. The meeting was held at Chhagan Bhujbal’s ministry office in the presence of Public Works Department Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale. Senior officials from the relevant departments were also present.
The proposed railway overbridges are planned to be constructed at Gate No. 77 on the Yeola-Nandgaon Road and Gate No. 76 on the Yeola-Bharam Road. Both these locations experience heavy daily traffic and are considered vital for local residents, farmers, businessmen, students, and pilgrims visiting Shirdi.
During the meeting, technical and administrative aspects of the project were discussed in detail. Officials presented information on the design, construction process, land availability, and potential impacts of both ROB projects. Emphasis was also placed on ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
The Yeola-Nandgaon road is considered a vital connectivity link for the region, connecting Nashik, Nandgaon, and Jalgaon districts. This route is also crucial for the transportation of agricultural produce. Furthermore, it supports the region’s renowned Paithani saree industry, boosting the local economy.
Officials stated that traffic is frequently disrupted at these railway crossings, causing significant inconvenience to local residents. The construction of the ROB will not only streamline traffic flow but also save time and improve road safety.
Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale directed the meeting to prioritize the project and expedite all necessary procedures. He stated that such infrastructure projects are essential for regional development and will directly benefit the general public.
The meeting also discussed the need to consider alternative transportation arrangements to minimize inconvenience to local residents and travelers during construction. Emphasis was also placed on ensuring transparency and quality in the project.
Government officials assured that both ROB projects will soon be submitted for further approval, and construction will commence after obtaining the necessary funding and technical approvals.
The project, when completed, will provide a new direction to traffic in the area and is expected to alleviate long-standing traffic congestion.
