On Wednesday night, a group of elephants reached Narmadapur village, where the elephants started trumpeting. Due to the trumpeting of the elephants, the villagers of Narmadapur came out of their homes. At night they did not understand what to do. Therefore, for the safety of their lives, the villagers left their homes and went to another place with their children.

But when the villagers returned on Thursday morning, the ground had slipped beneath their feet. A herd of elephants had destroyed a hut built near a villager’s farm. The elephants had also trampled the ready wheat crop. It is being told that at 8 o’clock on Wednesday night, two elephants first damaged the crops in village Barima, Uranga. After this they entered Narmadapur village. There is less population around the house where elephants attacked. Therefore, other people did not know. Didn’t work. The Forest Department has started making announcements in the villages on the information about the influx of elephants. The villagers are being made aware by keeping a watch on the elephant group.
