Hema Malini announces participation in IFFD 2026, Dharmendra to receive tribute

Entertainment: Actor and politician Hema Malini is set to attend the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, which begins in the national capital on Wednesday. Speaking to ANI ahead of the festival’s inauguration, Malini revealed that a special tribute will be held for her late husband, iconic actor Dharmendra. Malini said, “I would like to congratulate Rekha Gupta ji for organizing the International Film Festival in Delhi. It will run for 4-5 days. She has also invited many artists. Many artists will be honored at the festival. They are also giving a tribute to Dharm ji… So, I will be there to receive it.”
The festival will begin on Wednesday evening with a grand opening ceremony hosted by Arjun Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur at the Bharat Mandapam. Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Anupam Kher, and Lauren Gottlieb will also make appearances in the evening, highlighting the presence of top talent and setting the tone for a week of cross-industry engagement.
Organized by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation in collaboration with the Delhi Government, with KPMG as the knowledge partner. The Delhi International Film Festival is a government-run event held across the city, showcasing Indian and international cinema and bringing film culture to audiences in the capital. Running from March 25 to 31, 2026, the week-long festival will feature screenings, discussions, and industry events across multiple venues in New Delhi, bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences from around the world.
