Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal gave instructions to improve the systems
Raipur. Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today inspected Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Bilaspur and gave necessary instructions to the officials to improve the system. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the government intends to develop facilities like Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in SIMS, preparations should be started for this. He gave instructions to improve hospital management and separate medical and administrative systems. After the inspection, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal took a meeting of the officers. He said that to further improve the SIMS system, both the treatment (clinical) and administrative systems of patients will be separated.
MBA passed administrator and a public relations officer will be appointed for the hospital administration. Shri Jaiswal reached Bilaspur for the first time after taking the charge of Health and Family Welfare Minister and gave instructions to this effect by holding a meeting of officials in SIMS. He said that about 40 acres of land has been reserved for the new building of SIMS in Koni. Sims, located in the heart of the city, has been asked to start preparations for shifting to Koni in a phased manner. Before the meeting, the Health Minister also inspected various wards of SIMS Hospital. Met the patients who had come for treatment and took information about the arrangements. During the meeting and inspection, Bilaspur MLA Mr. Amar Aggarwal, Bilha MLA Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Takhatpur MLA Mr. Dharamjit Singh, Beltara MLA Mr. Sushant Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Mrs. Renu G Pillai, SIMS OSD Mr. R. Prasanna especially. was present. Health Minister Shri Jaiswal praised the SIMS Hospital management and doctors for the significant improvement in the hospital system in the last two-three months.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Jaiswal held a meeting for almost an hour in the conference room of SIMS Medical College and gave many instructions in the interest of the patients. Senior officials from the Ministry of SIMS Health Management, District Administration and Health Department participated in the meeting. He directed to complete the remaining work of the multi-specialty hospital under construction in Koni soon. It will be inaugurated in the first week of March. He has also been asked to speed up the work of Cancer Hospital and complete it within the time limit. Jaiswal said that SIMS Hospital is the biggest hospital of Bilaspur division. Health facilities like Raipur AIIMS will be developed here. Whatever shortcomings there are in the hospital will be removed. The Health Minister expressed satisfaction over the improvement seen in the last two-three months. Dean Dr. K.K. Sahare and Superintendent Dr. Nayak gave a comparative presentation of the facilities, arrangements currently available in SIMS and the improvements that have come in the last two-three months. The minister has asked all the toilets of SIMS Hospital to be improved in the next three months. He gave instructions to arrange water purifiers for the patients within a month. The environment of the hospital premises and the behavior of the management should be so full of goodwill that half of the diseases go away as soon as they arrive. MLAs Shri Amar Aggarwal, Dharamlal Kaushik and Sushant Shukla also gave important suggestions to improve the SIMS system.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal first inspected SIMS Hospital. He went to different wards of the hospital for about half an hour. Met the patients and their families who had come for treatment. After getting information about the disease, instructions were given to the doctors for immediate treatment. Shri Jaiswal mainly inspected the wards like casualty ward, registration room, medicine distribution, blood collection centre, X-ray and city scan etc. To facilitate the registration of patients, it has been asked to implement token system soon.
