Health Centre, Anganwadi Centre and Skill Development Centre will be operated under one roof
Mahasamund. Two multipurpose centers are being constructed in the district under PM Janman Yojana with the aim of strengthening health services, providing supplementary nutrition to children from zero to 5 years, livelihood center for villagers under one roof.
Collector Vinay Langeh today inspected the multipurpose center under construction in village Dhansuli under Mahasamund development block. During the inspection, he reviewed the progress of the work and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officers and contractors. The collector directed that the construction work of both the model multipurpose centers of the district should be completed by 30 June 2025, so that their proper operation can be started from 10 July 2025. He asked the construction agency to ensure quality work within the time limit. During this, the collector also discussed with the rural women and took information from them about livelihood related activities. The second multipurpose centre is under construction in village Joratarai of Bagbahara development block. During the inspection, the collector directed to make the multipurpose centre fully equipped and asked to ensure necessary arrangements. 24-hour NMM and Mitanin services will be provided in the model centre, a modern ambulance will be arranged and there will be 24-hour electricity supply through solar pump based ‘Surya Jal Yojana’. Availability of clean drinking water, construction of model Anganwadi centre and establishment of livelihood related skill development centre for villagers will be important facilities here.
The collector directed the concerned officials not to show any laxity in the work. He said that keeping in mind the priority of the government in subjects like health, nutrition and skill development, these model centres will be an important step towards public welfare. He also directed to submit weekly progress report of all the construction works, so that monitoring can be done at every level and timely implementation is ensured.
