Headmistress committed suicide by hanging herself

Jagdalpur. Headmistress Kanti Nagesh, a resident of Bedaguda of Tokapal under Parpa police station area of the district, committed suicide by hanging herself in the room of her house this morning. The police have not recovered any suicide note of any kind. According to the information received, this morning Kanti left her room and went to the bathroom. After that she went back to the room. When she did not come out till eight o’clock, her mother Butki Nagesh went into the room. Where the daughter was seen hanging from the noose.

Parpa police reached the spot and after conducting Panchnama, the body was sent to Mecos for post-mortem. Jitu Thakur, family member of the deceased headmistress, said that Kanti Nagesh (37), posted as headmistress in Burungpal School, lived with a younger brother apart from her parents. He has alleged that he committed suicide due to frequent disputes over some issue or the other with relatives living near his house for the last several years.
