He made his friend a thief as well, the cunning young man was arrested with his bike

Raigarh. The team of Kharsia Police station has recovered the bike stolen from near Madanpur High School last Friday (31 May) from the possession of Mukesh Yadav alias Kallu of Hamalpara Talabpar Kharsia. The accused has admitted to stealing the bike along with his minor partner.

On May 31, Rampal Patel, a mason resident of village Chhote Devgaon, lodged a report at Kharsia Police Station regarding bike theft that on the morning of May 31, he came to Anil Dansena’s house behind Madanpur High School to work on his Hero Splendor Pro bike CG 13 UB 6280, while working in the afternoon, when he looked from the roof, his bike was missing, he inquired around but the bike was not found. On the report of bike theft at Kharsia Police Station, a crime was registered against the unknown accused under crime number 335/2024 section 379 IPC and the goods were taken into custody.

Reporter Rampal Patel and his co-workers told that they saw two boys from Madanpur roaming around in a suspicious condition in the afternoon. Police was investigating both the suspects when today the police post in-charge received information from an informer that Mukesh Yadav alias Kallu, a resident of Hamalpara Talabpar Kharsia, was looking for a customer to sell a Hero Splendor bike at Mangal Bazaar Chowk. Immediately the police team detained the suspect Mukesh Yadav and when questioned about the motorcycle, he told that on the afternoon of May 31, he stole the bike along with his partner (minor) and hid it in his partner’s house. Police recovered the stolen bike on the memorandum of accused Mukesh Yadav alias Kallu, son of Lalit Yadav, 22 years, resident of Hamalpara Talabpar Kharsia and sent the accused on judicial remand. The minor partner of the accused is absconding. Head constable Ashok Devangan, Shankar Singh Kshatriya, constable Damrudhar Patel played an active role in the investigation of the accused under the leadership of outpost in-charge Kharsia sub-inspector Sanjay Nag.
