Haryana State Swimming Championship started
Bahadurgarh. Haryana State Senior Swimming Championship has started in the all-weather swimming pool located in HL City of Bahadurgarh. About 250 players from across the state are participating in this competition. The competition was launched by HL City Director Rakesh June.
He also honored the players who won medals in the preliminary match. At the same time, a good news has also come out for swimming players. Soon a new swimming pool as per Olympic standard is going to be built in Bahadurgarh.
Players are going to get all the facilities as per international standards in this swimming pool, which will be built on about one and a half acres.
In the 1500 meter free style men’s event of Haryana State Senior Swimming Championship held in Bahadurgarh, Darsh Singh of Faridabad got first position, Ishant of Jhajjar got second position and Aditya of Bhiwani got third position. In the women’s event, Samridhi Vijayaran of Jhajjar stood first, Harshita of Rohtak stood second and Tanisha of Jind stood third. In men’s 100m breast stroke event, Nishant of Gurgaon stood first, Shantanu of Jhajjar stood second and Rohit of Jhajjar stood third.
In this women’s event, Samia Sinhagari of Gurgaon has secured first position, Ansha of Sonipat has secured second position and Bhavika of Jhajjar has secured third position. About 250 players will participate in various events of this 2-day long competition. Not only this, the winning players of the competition will also get a chance to go to the National Games.
Haryana Swimming Association General Secretary Anil Khatri said that soon the government is going to build a new swimming pool of Olympic standard in Bahadurgarh with the help of HL City Director Rakesh June. Whose work has already started.
He told that now swimming players have started coming out from the rural areas of Haryana and after the construction of International Swimming Pool, players not only from the state but from all over the country will be able to practice here in Bahadurgarh. Due to which the number of players participating in international events will also increase and the name of the country will also be brought to light. He also thanked the government and HL City Director Rakesh June. Chief guest Rakesh June also congratulated the winning players.
