Haryana Chief Secy: Committed to cleanliness and efficient drainage system
Chandigarh. Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary T.V.S.N. Prasad on Sunday stressed the state government’s commitment towards maintaining cleanliness and efficient drainage system in Gurugram keeping in mind the interests of the citizens. In a meeting with citizens in Gurugram, the Chief Secretary directed the officials to prepare new plans based on the suggestions received.
In the meeting, Prasad announced the formation of a three-member committee to set standards for door-to-door garbage collection vehicles. The Chief Secretary also discussed the problem of waterlogging during monsoon, reviewed the arrangements and efforts to clean the drains. Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav reported identification of 112 critical waterlogging points. Prasad also directed to pursue the purchase of 40 compactors and suction machines (Jatayu) for Gurugram Municipal Corporation. He directed the sanitation and environment experts present to prepare a plan to improve the Bandhwari garbage disposal plant.
