According to the information, Guwahati International Airport Gopinath Bordoloi welcomed about 29 lakh passengers on arrival and about 27 lakh on departure. In 2022 this figure was approximately 4,6 million. The airport hosted approximately 23,300 flight arrivals and approximately 23,300 flight departures in Guwahati. It was also mentioned that the largest influx of passengers in a single day of the year was on 24 December 2023, when the airport hosted a total of 19290 passengers. Officials also mentioned that the airport has added new connectivity to Jaipur and Bhubaneswar in the national sector and Bangkok in the international sector in the year 2023. Talking about the figures, Utpal Barua, airport director, said: “We are satisfied that in calendar year 2023 we have surpassed last year’s passenger numbers by 10 lakh, which is an increase of about 17%. it shows. We are eagerly awaiting the launch of a new terminal this year whose capacity will double our actual demand. “We are working to develop connectivity to some national and international destinations in 2024.”
