Guntur doctor commits suicide in Hyderabad after not getting US visa

Guntur-based Dr. Rohini committed suicide after not getting her US visa. She committed suicide by swallowing sleeping pills at her residence in Hyderabad.

According to Rohini’s mother, Rohini, who hails from Guntur in AP, completed her MBBS in Russia. After that, she dreamed of pursuing higher studies in America and practicing there. As part of this endeavor, she has already gone to America and completed all the arrangements related to residency and practice. She also applied for a J1 visa. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has brought key changes in the visas for foreign students and professionals. Due to this, Rohini had to leave America and come to India.

Rohini tried to get a J1 visa in America from Hyderabad. In this process, she also cleared the first three rounds of tests. But the visa did not come in the last round. Rohini has been waiting for a J1 visa for a year. Meanwhile, phone calls have also increased to immediately join a job related to practice in America. With this, Rohini became extremely depressed that her American dream would remain a dream. In that depression, she committed suicide by swallowing sleeping pills at her residence. After receiving information about Rohini’s suicide, the police reached the spot and examined it. The body was shifted to a government hospital for postmortem. .
