Gujarat: Injured due to falling of molten metal in steel plant, 3 workers died during treatment, condition of one is critical

Bhuj: Three workers who were seriously injured after falling into a metal casting at a steel factory in Gujarat’s Kutch district succumbed to their injuries during treatment, police said on Monday. Another employee was found in a critical condition, while three others also suffered injuries and were given high-level treatment. The incident occurred at a steel factory in Anjar city on Sunday morning, when molten metal from the furnace fell on some workers during work, an official said. A total of seven workers were injured. They were immediately shifted to a hospital in Gandhidham, where doctors took four of them to Ahmedabad for treatment when their condition became critical, the police officer said. The three workers who died on Sunday night have been identified as Ravi Ram (40), Kailash (18) and Pushpendra (23), officials said. One employee was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ahmedabad, while the other three were discharged from a hospital in Gandhidham, the official said.
