Gujarat: CM Bhupendra Patel approves works worth 214 crores including 6 in Ahmedabad and 76 in Surat
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has given in-principle approval to the proposals submitted by Ahmedabad and Surat Municipal Corporations for development works in outgrowth areas under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shahri Vikas Yojana. A total of Rs 214 crore works will be done under this scheme. With this, the government has decided that the CAPF exam can be given in 13 regional languages including Gujarati.
Approval received for the proposal of 6 water works
The state government has set a target to increase human development index and ease of living by increasing infrastructure facilities like water, sewerage, roadways, solid waste management, street lights etc. in urban areas and its extended outgrowth areas. In relation to development area development works, the proposal for 6 drainage and water works has been approved at a cost of Rs 138.46 crore.
37 percent increase for infrastructure
Apart from this, the Surat Municipal Corporation has given in-principle approval for various 76 works of physical infrastructure facilities in the outgrowth area worth Rs. Not only this, the Golden Jubilee Mukhyamantri Shahri Vikas Yojana implemented for basic infrastructure in municipalities, municipal corporations and urban authorities has been extended till the year 2024 with a provision of Rs 8,086 crore.
