Gujarat aimed to win against the Lucknow team which could not score big
Lucknow: The Gujarat Titans team has set the target of defeating their rival Lucknow Supergiants. The pitch was not suitable for batting and could not make a big score. The team managed to score only 135 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Lucknow set a target of 136 runs in front of them. Only opener Wriddhiman Saha (47, 6 fours) and captain Hardik Pandya (66, 4 sixes, 2 fours) did well with the Gujarat batsmen.
Among the other batsmen, only Vijay Shankar (10, one four) scored in double figures. Gill got out without opening the account of runs. Abhinav Manohar (3), David Miller (6) and Rahul Tewatia (2) failed completely. Among the Lucknow bowlers, Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis took two wickets each. Amit Mishra and Naveen Ul Haq took a wicket each.
