Group 1 officers in Tamil Nadu are granted IAS status.

Tamil Nadu: The Central Department of Personnel and Training has issued an order granting IAS status to two Group-1 officers from Tamil Nadu.

The central government will grant IAS status to officers working in various departments who have passed the Group-1 examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, based on their seniority.

In this regard, it has been announced that Abdul Razak and Nallasivan from Tamil Nadu will be granted IAS status based on vacancies available between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

A government order to this effect has been issued and sent to the Tamil Nadu government.
