Got a colliery job with fake documents

Anuppur: A case of doing colliery job and getting pension by taking voluntary retirement on the basis of fake documents has come to light under Bhaalumada police station area of the district. The accused had obtained the job for his brother by submitting fake documents on the basis of the call letter received from the colliery. Now, on the complaint of brother, a case has been registered on Friday under various sections including fraud. Police is investigating the matter. Police said that the complainant, 59-year-old Mahendra Soni, son of Shiv Ratan Soni, resident of Chetna Nagar, Anuppur, had lodged a complaint in the Superintendent of Police office on August 21, 2023 that his elder brother Suresh Soni, son of Shiv Ratan Soni, had filed a fake and On the basis of forged documents, he got the job at the colliery in his name. Later he is getting pension after retirement.

Police investigation revealed that the complainant Mahendra Soni, son of Shivratan Soni, had registered himself at the Burhar Employment Office to get a job in the colliery. For a job in CCL Jamuna Kotma area, an interview letter was sent to his address by post from the Employment Office Budhar. This letter reached his brother Suresh Soni. He got the job by using fake documents, photographs and those of his wife and sons and from October 6, 1989, he started working in 11/12 mine of SECL Jamuna Kotma area in the name of Mahendra Soni. When the applicant and others came to know about this, he took voluntary retirement and started taking pension in 2018. On the complaint, the police have registered an offense under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 against the accused Suresh Soni.

The complainant said that Suresh Soni committed fraud by preparing forged documents and creating two different IDs in different names. He had opened an account in the name of Mahendra Soni in State Bank of India Jamuna Colliery. Whereas in Anuppur Dulhara, a savings account was kept open in the name of Suresh Soni. On the basis of which the police have registered a crime and started investigation.
