Goods worth lakhs found in truck, seized by police

Bilaspur. In view of the theft cases taking place in the district, Bilaspur Police has started raiding proceedings. In this series, City Kotwali Police has got success in capturing illegal junk. Where they have seized junk worth Rs 4 lakh 80 thousand. According to the information received, City Kotwali Police received information that illegal iron rods, angles, pipes, plates and other scrap materials were being loaded into a truck in front of the old bus stand Surya Hotel.

Acting on informer’s information, a raid was conducted on the roadside near the old bus stand, Surya Hotel. Seeing the police, the people loading the junk ran away. During the investigation, after checking the vehicle number CG 04 JD 3697 parked on the roadside, iron rods, angles, pipes, plates and other scrap material weighing 06 tons were found inside the vehicle. The estimated value of the vehicle and scrap is said to be Rs 4 lakh 80 thousand. Police have seized it and are taking proper action against illegal junk and vehicles.
