Goa CM Pramod Sawant to visit Saligao as swayampurna mitra

PANAJI: The state government has appointed chief minister Pramod Sawant as swayampurna mitra and he will be available for the people of Saligao on Monday.
“Sawant is appointed as a swayampurna mitra for Saligao village panchayat, under the flagship programme of Swayampurna Goa 2.0. The chief minister will interact with the people of Saligao and address their concerns during this visit,” principal secretary V Candavelou said.
Speaking to TOI, Sawant said that on his 50th birthday, he has decided to spend time with the people of Saligao and listen to their grievances like how swayampurna mitra does.
“Swayampurna Goa is my flagship programme and I have decided to become swayampurna mitra as mitra is the main person behind the programme,” he said.
