Date of Kokila Vrat-
Let us tell you that this year Kokila Vrat will be observed on 2nd July. Worshiping Goddess Sati and Shiva on this day gives best results. It is believed that due to the effect of Kokila Vrat, one gets the blessings of unbroken good fortune and also the girls get the best groom. But the virtuous fruit of this fast worship is available only when the fast is done with devotion.
Method of fasting worship-
Let us tell you that on the day of Kokila Vrat, wake up early in the morning and take bath etc., after that wear clean clothes and anoint Shiva with Panchamrit and offer Gangajal. After this, offer white flowers to Shiva and red flowers to Mother Parvati. Include belpatra, smell and incense etc. in the worship, after this light a lamp of ghee and worship God duly. Observe fast throughout the day and after sunset worship and take fruits. But do not take food in this fast even by mistake. On the next day, break the fast and take food.
