Girlfriend burnt with petrol after murder, boyfriend arrested

korba news. Solving the mystery of the half-burnt body of an unknown woman found in a drain in Kusmunda police station area, the police has arrested her lover. On June 9, the Kotwar of Amgaon informed the Kusmunda police that an unknown body was lying in the Sondarha drain. Seeing the half-burnt body, the police guessed that it was a case of murder. Information was given to nearby police stations to identify the woman. Tersaram and Dashrath of Semra in Janjgir district identified her as their sister Ramkumari Kashyap. Meanwhile, the short post-mortem report revealed that the woman was strangulated to death and after that an attempt was made to burn the body.

During the investigation, it was found that the deceased Ramkumari’s husband had died. Manbodh Bhardwaj of Bokaramuda had been living with her for 3-4 years. Manbodh’s wife has also died but he has children. On the basis of suspicion, the police took Manbodh into custody and interrogated him. He told that his wife had died three years ago, after which he lived with Ramkumari. She repeatedly pressurized him to leave his house and live here. He was upset with her pressure because he also had his own children at home.

Due to this, he planned to murder Ramkumari. On June 8, he brought Ramkumari on a bike towards Katghora on the pretext of taking her for a ride. Accused Manbodh bought liquor from Sarvamangal’s liquor distillery. Both of them came and sat at the spot and started drinking. During this time, a dispute broke out between the two about living together. Manbodh was already looking for an opportunity to murder. He strangled Ramkumari with a towel, which caused her death. He took out Ramkumari’s gold and silver jewellery and also kept her mobile with him. After this, to hide the identity of the dead body, he took out petrol from his bike and set the body on fire. The accused was arrested and presented in the court, from where he has been sent to jail.
