Girl dies in cross firing, Congress forms committee to investigate

Bijapur. Taking seriously the incident of death of a 6-month-old girl due to police firing in village Mudavendi under Gangalur police station in the district, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Deepak Baij has constituted a five-member investigation committee under the leadership of regional MLA Vikram Mandavi.

Let us tell you that a 6-month-old girl was killed in cross firing in Bijapur on Monday. This cross firing took place in the encounter between police and Naxalites. The girl’s mother was also shot in the hand. Two DRG soldiers were injured in the encounter. The matter is of Gangalur police station area.
