Gift milk will be given to 2500 children in government schools along with midday meal

Ranchi: Gift milk is being given to 2500 children of Ranchi district. Gift milk is being given along with mid-day meal in government schools. Giving of gifts has started from the first week of February. This will be given by March. The purpose of giving gift milk is to increase the nutrition of government school children and the physical development of the children. NDDB Foundation for Nutrition is giving gift milk. Jharkhand Milk Federation also cooperates in giving gift milk. Milk is being given free of cost to children of 2500 schools. Milk is not provided in the mid-day meal. This will be given only for two months. This scheme is not applicable in entire Jharkhand. The foundation is giving gift milk to identified children.
Wrote a letter to the District Education Superintendent
NDDB Foundation for Nutrition had written a letter to Ranchi District Education Superintendent. After which the District Education Superintendent issued a letter directing to give gift milk to the children. After giving instructions, gift milk started being given to 2500 children.
Let us tell you that in the mid-day meal, children up to class 8 are given one meal. Different types of food are provided 6 days a week. Each day’s menu is designed keeping nutrition in mind. Children are given food every day as per the menu.
