Ganjam: Court awards life imprisonment to man for murder case of 2023

Berhampur: The Sessions Court of Berhampur in Ganjam District of Odisha awarded a man with life imprisonment for the charge of murder that took place in 2023.

The case is related to a crime that took place on March 7, 2023, at Dengapadar village under Berhampur Sadar Police Station limits.

A complaint had been lodged alleging that one Biju Behera had attacked Juriya Bisoyi.

In this regard, after getting information from the villagers, Juriya’s brother Rama reached the scene and rushed his injured brother to the MKCG Medical College and hospital in Berhampur. However, the doctors pronounced him brought dead.

Accordingly, Police registered a case and arrested the accused during the course of investigation and forwarded him to the Court. During the trial, statements of 15 witnesses were examined and the Court awarded lifer to the accused, said Public Prosecutor Biswajit Baral.
