Ganjam Block AEE Susil Kumar Panda arrested for possessing disproportionate assets

Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance today arrested Ganjam Block Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Susil Kumar Panda for possessing disproportionate assets. He will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur, informed the Vigilance.
Based on searches conducted on his properties, Susil Kumar Panda was found in possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of 163% of his known sources of income, which he could not account for satisfactorily. In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS Case No.9 dated 29.06.2025 was registered against the Assistant Executive Engineer and his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 PC (Amendment) Act,2018.
During house searches, the following movable and immovable assets worth crores were unearthed in the name of Susil Kumar Panda and his family members;
One triple storeyed building with area approx 4620 Sqft. at Ram Hari Nagar, Berhampur.
One 2-BHK flat vide No.205 with area approx 700 Sqft. at Mukteswar apartment, Ankuli, Berhampur.
One 1-BHK flat with area approx 600 Sqft. at Puri.
6 high value plots at Bhubhaneswar, Khordha & Berhampur.
Cash Rs.2,05,000
Gold ornaments weighing 126 gms.
Bank & Insurance deposits worth Rs.1,11,97,000/-.
1 four wheeler (Mahindra KUV) & 2 two wheelers.
Household articles worth around Rs.10 Lakhs.
After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Susil Kumar Panda, Asst. Executive Engineer (AEE), Ganjam Block, Dist-Ganjam were calculated and he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which were 163% in excess of his known sources of income.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
