Ganja worth Rs 75 lakh seized from truck, hidden in vegetable cart

Mahasamund. Continuous action is being taken against ganja smugglers by Singhora. On informer’s information, a saffron colored Ashok Leyland truck number OD15 W 7771 coming from Orissa towards Chhattisgarh was stopped. There was a person in the vehicle, when interrogated, he started giving vague answers. On being strictly interrogated, he kept ganja under the carat in the trunk of the vehicle and took it from Odisha to Maharashtra. When asked about his address, he told his name: Sheshdev Nayak, father, Hara Nayak, age 23 years, Sakin Barodamliha. Police Station Kishor Nagar District Angul (Orissa) said that after searching the vehicle, 150 kg of intoxicant ganja was found under the carat of the vehicle. Due action was taken against the accused in Police Station Singhoda under the provisions of NDPS Act and 150 kg of illegal drug was recovered from the accused. The substance ganja has been seized.
