Ganja worth lakhs was being sold near NH Highway 53, 3 smugglers arrested
Raipur. Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh has given necessary guidelines to all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police, station in-charges including in-charge anti-crime and cyber units, to detect and take action against black drug dealers and to curb it effectively. On which all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges and the team of anti-crime and cyber units are collecting information regarding drug dealers by employing informers, patrolling and collecting information. In the same context, on 07.02.24, the team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit received information that village Chhatauna N.H. under Thana Mandir Hasaud area. Some persons riding a two-wheeler near 53 have ganja with them and are planning to sell it.
On which Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Neeraj Chandrakar, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitamber Singh Patel, City Superintendent of Police Mana Kalpana Verma and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, after verifying the information to Anti Crime and Cyber Unit in-charge and Mandir Hasaud in-charge of the police station, the accused was given marijuana. Was directed to catch red handed. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Mandir Hasaud Police went to the said place, identified and arrested persons of the same description as described by the informer. During interrogation, the persons revealed their names to be Samadhan Khawale, Jatin Bole and Mahadev Bariha. When the team members searched the bag kept with them, it was found that ganja was kept in the bag. On which the team members arrested the accused and seized from their possession 06 kg 440 grams of ganja, 01 number of two-wheelers and 02 numbers of mobile phones related to the incident, worth approximately Rs. 1,00,000/- and a crime number was registered against the accused in Tikrapara police station. 67/2024 An offense under Section 20B Narcotics Act was registered and action was taken.

- Mahadev Bariha, father Vinod Bariha, age 20 years, Sakin Badesh Pali police station Melchhamuda Sahala district Bargarh (Orissa).
Inspector Rohit Malekar, police station in-charge Mandir Hasaud, Inspector Virendra Chandra from Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit, Sauni Mohd participated in the proceedings. Jameel, P.R. Ashish Trivedi, R. Anil Rajput, Rakesh Pandey, Tukesh Nishad played important roles.
