Ganja smuggler arrested in Ganj area, seized goods worth Rs 2 lakh

Raipur. An interstate accused from Meerut has been arrested with 10 kg of ganja. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force received information that a person near Namaste Chowk under Thana Ganj area has kept ganja in his bag and is trying to sell it. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Anti-Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Thana Ganj Police went to the said place and identified and arrested a person matching the description given by the informer. During interrogation, the person told his name to be Ankit Jatav, resident of Meerut (UP). When the team members searched the bag kept with him, ganja was found in the bag. On which the team members arrested the accused Ankit Jatav and seized 10.230 kg of ganja worth about Rs 2,04,600/- from his possession and registered a case against the accused under crime number 24/25 section 20B of Narcotics Act at Thana Ganj.

In the action, Inspector Yashwant Singh Thakur, Thana In-charge Ganj, Inspector Paresh Kumar Pandey from Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit, Sub Inspector Mangaleshwar Singh Parihar, PR Makhan Dhruv, R. Anil Rajput, Abhishek Singh Tomar, Purushottam Sinha, Avinash Tandon, Vikas Kshatriya and Sub Inspector Rajesh Mandlesh and MP R Durga Baghel from Thana Ganj played an important role.
