Gamblers from Raipur, Balod and Rajnandgaon caught in Dhamtari, 1 lakh 38 thousand seized
Dhamtari. Kurud police has arrested gamblers from Raipur, Balod and Rajnandgaon. Police had received information from an informer that some people were gambling with 52 cards in village Bodachhappar Khar by betting on win or loss. On this information, SHO Kurud along with his staff reached the place mentioned by the informer and cordoned off the area and conducted a raid. 10 gamblers were caught red handed while gambling.
Rs. 1,38,900/- and 52 cards were seized from all of them in front of witnesses. Crime was registered under Crime No. 129/25 Section 3(2) CG Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 of Police Station Kurud and legal action was taken. In the entire action, SHO Inspector Rajesh Jagat, Sub Inspector Suresh Nand, Prar. Sheshnarayan Pandey, Dara Chandrakar, Gopal Chandrakar, Mahesh Sahu, Trivendra Sirmour, Bhavsingh Patil, Top Singh, soldier Govardhan Lahare, Hemant Dhruv made special contribution.
