Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deo invited for Navy Day celebrations at Puri on Dec 4

Puri: The Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deo was invited for the Navy Day celebration to be held at Puri beach on December 4. For the celebrations, the Indian Navy had conducted rehearsals today.

Higher officials of Indian Navy met Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deo and invited him to grace the occasion for Navy Day celebrations. For the big day, traffic restrictions at Puri have also been issued.

A ‘no vehicle zone’ has been demarcated from BNR hotel to Acharya Harihara square and from old Sadar police station to Subash Bose square from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on December 4. However, the good news is that, residents of Puri have been refrained from this restriction.

President Droupadi Murmu will grace the Navy Day as its chief guest after which she will pay homage to Lord Jagannath at Srimandir.
