Four anti-labour labour codes should be repealed: CITU Treasurer G. Bhaskar

A protest rally was organized under the auspices of CITU at Thoguta mandal center. Speaking on the occasion, CITU Siddipet District Treasurer G Bhaskar demanded the immediate repeal of the 4 labor codes brought by the BJP government at the center, and the withdrawal of dangerous decisions like the Electricity Amendment Act-2025, VB Ji-Ram Ji Act, Seed Amendment Bill, and allowing 100% foreign investment in LIC.
The BJP government at the Centre was criticized for wanting to turn the country into a country without trade unions and labor laws, and for enslaving workers to benefit capitalists, industrialists, and corporates. As part of that, it repealed 29 labor laws that were heroically fought for and achieved with sacrifices of life, and brought in 4 anti-labor labor codes.
They said that by canceling the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and bringing the VBG-RAMG scheme, it has imposed a financial burden on the states, and that it will attack the working class by bringing more destructive laws and bills like the Electricity Amendment Bill-2025, the Seed Amendment Act, and allowing 100 percent foreign investment in the insurance sector, thereby deceiving the vast working class in urban and rural areas.
An unconstitutional act that undermines the federal spirit.
He said that the central government has implemented 4 labor codes, which have left 40 crore organized and unorganized workers and their families in misery, and paved the way for corporates to reap profits. He also criticized the central government for taking over and changing the labor laws in the Central and State Concurrent Lists in a dictatorial and tyrannical manner. He criticized this as an unconstitutional act that undermines the federal spirit of the Constitution. He said that the recommendations of the International Labor Organization “ILD” have also been ignored.
