Force reached the safe hideout of Naxalites, found a huge cache of weapons
Raipur. Police has recovered a huge cache of weapons from the border area of Chhattisgarh-Telangana state. Maoists had hidden SLR and other automatic weapons in the forest. Which has been recovered by the soldiers who went out for searching. In Bastar, in the last 11 months, the police has recovered about 212 guns like AK-47, INSAS, SLR.
Actually, the police had gone out on an operation against the Naxalites in the forest of Voddugudem village of Mulugu district. The Naxalites had hidden weapons in one of their safe hideouts in the forest. The soldiers reached this place and recovered the Naxalites’ SLR, 3 guns including Belgian model SLR, and 165 live ammunition.
A total of 97 encounters have taken place between the police and Naxalites in Bastar from January 1 to November 8. In which the bodies of 192 Maoists have been recovered. While a total of 212 weapons including AK-47, INSAS, SLR, sniper have been recovered. This year the police have been very successful against the Naxalites in Bastar.
