Food poisoning due to tea and bread, two dead so far

Korba. A 4 year old sister and 6 year old brother died due to food poisoning in Korba. While 5 other people are ill. Of these, 3 people belong to the same family, while 2 children belong to brothers living in the neighborhood. All have been admitted to the ICU of the Medical College Hospital. According to the information, Shravan Kumar, resident of Gidhauri village of Urga area, was survived by his wife Rajkumari, two sons and a daughter. Everyone was eating roti and drinking tea at around 9 am on Sunday morning. Two other children living in the neighborhood had also come with him to have breakfast.

After having breakfast, Shravan Kumar’s son and daughter went out to play. After some time, when foam started coming out of the children’s mouth, they ran home and informed their parents about it. Meanwhile, everyone’s health started deteriorating one by one. Seeing this, the family informed Dial-112. Shravan Kumar’s daughter Amrita Kanwar (4) died on the way to the hospital. The condition of his son Anant was critical. He was admitted to the ICU, where he also died during treatment in the afternoon.
