Food department raided, 200 quintals of paddy and tractor seized

Sarangarh Bilaigarh. On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai to take action as per the law, under the direction of Collector Dr. Siddiqui, raids have been conducted against illegal storage and transportation of paddy by the Food Department and Mandi Committee Bhatgaon in the villages of Bilaigarh development block of the district.

Paddy seized so far in Bhatgaon includes 24 quintals of 30 sacks each from Bhagatram Sahu and Hemlal Sahu of village Girsa, 28 sacks totaling 11 quintals from Rishi Agarwal of village Durug, 84 sacks totaling 33 quintals from Ramkrishna Sahu of village Pavani and Jhumuk. 63 sacks totaling 25 quintals of paddy have been seized from Sahu, 53 sacks totaling 21 quintals from Tirathram Sahu of village Girwani, 215 sacks totaling 86 quintals of paddy have been seized from Narayan Prasad Sahu of village Bansurkuli. In this, a tractor of Ramakrishna Sahu was also seized. The total paddy seized is 503 bags, the quantity of which is 200 quintals.
