Florida Horror: Woman arrested for selling human skulls and ribs on Facebook

New Delhi: A woman in Florida has been arrested for buying and selling human remains, including bones and skulls on Facebook Marketplace.

The woman has been identified as Kymberlee Schooper. She has been arrested after the officers discovered that she was selling real human bones through her business platform named ‘wicked wonderland’.

According to the sources, Schooper told the police that bones are delicate in nature and she believed that they were legal to sell in Florida as ‘educational models’. However, Law in Florida prohibits such activities.

The investigation began on December 21, 2023, when the police received a report that a local business was attempting to sell human remains. The person provided screenshots as tip to police from the store’s Facebook page, which showcased multiple human bones listed with price tags.

The remains were collected and submitted to the Medical Examiner’s Officer for analysis.

According to the investigation reports, the bones were genuine human remains, and they had been acquired from private sellers over the years.

Schooper has been arrested and is facing formal charges.

Further investigation is underway.
